The quarantine has allowed most of us to re-explore old hobbies and discover new ones with our spare time. It doesn’t come as a surprise that a lot of people have turned to the universal passion for cooking and baking. (I even learned how to make yogurt from scratch!)
Finding the right balance between healthy food options and good taste can be challenging. To this day, I still stand by oats as my staple of choice. Known as a supergrain, oats are a natural source of iron, which is essential for building immunity against diseases. It also helps regulate cholesterol and blood levels, thus preventing heart problems. Lastly, oats help with weight loss. I was at my leanest in 2017 to 2018 when I went on an oatmeal diet for 6 months straight. I started to see results as early as 3 months in. As a natural source of fiber, oats made me feel full longer.
I used Quaker Oats in my journey to fitness. This household name is the world’s number 1 oatmeal brand. Oatmeal is basically synonymous to Quaker. During this Quarantine, Quaker Oats Philippines has partnered with some chefs to help make our kitchen experiments more fun with delicious yet nutritious savory and sweet oatmeal dishes.

There are a lot of easy and fun ways to use Quaker oats in your meals–not just breakfast, and not just for dessert! I used to have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and always as a savory dish! The one I tried was the Quaker Oats Cream Pie which turned out to look like “Poke Balls”. It was fun and easy to make as mentioned, but I just suck at baking. LOL.
