Just one door down from Chinatown’s Best Food, the oldest Chinese restaurant in Banawe, is a new Asian fusion resto called King Kaijoo run by Ren and Jet Hernandez. West Coast Tacos (PHP 288/ 3 pcs) – Salmon Sashimi, miso, avocado (seasonal), wasabi aioli, coriander, and black sesame seeds. This was super good! The salmon sashimi was super fresh and the wasabi aioli was just so perfect with the contrasting texture of the crunchy taco shell!
Chizu Broccoli Soup (PHP 238) – Cheddar and broccoli florets. A tidal deluge of flowing cheese with broccoli chunks to tickle your taste buds. This was everyone’s favorite, not just mine! It was so creamy, savory and cheesy!
Skull Island’s Asian Chicken Salad (PHP 278) – Poached chicken breast, salad greens, crispy wonton skins, fried noodles, mandarin orange segments, and sesame soy dressing. I don’t normally like salads but the Asian salad was surprising good because of the sesame soy dressing.
Mimiga (PHP 248) – Crispy pig’s ear, shichimi and vinegar dip. Great pulutan! I was still munching on it even at the end of the meal while sipping cocktails.
Legendary Seafood Pasta (PHP 378) – Green curry, seafood blend, and thai herbs. Legen…curry! Great lemongrass flavor!
KFC Sandwich (PHP 288) – Korean Fried Chicken, gochujang glaze, sriracha mayo, broiche bun and fries. This one was pretty flavorful because of the gochujang glaze, and not in the nakaka-umay way.
Soups and Salads
Tsunami Seafood Chowder (PHP 258) – Shrimp, fish fillet, mussels, clams, and cream. A crashing wave of the sea’s flavors in one bowl!
Giddora Onion Soup (PHP 178) – Three onion blend, beef stock, and cheesy croutons. A tasty twist that will stomp its way to your palette. I liked it because it was a bit smoked!
Watermelon Wave Salad (PHP 218) – Watermelon, kesong puti, salad greens, balsamic dressing and crunchy nuts. A mouth-water crunch!

Miso Monster Wings (PHP 348) – Wings with miso glaze to amaze!
Yummi Umami Chicken (PHP 278) – Pan-roasted boneless thighs, herby green sauce and yellow rice.
Pacific Rim Catch (PHP 498) – Atlantic salmon, broiled eggplant, pickled ginger and rice.
Good-jira Tinapa Pasta (PHP 368) – Sauteed tinapa, bonito flakes, green onions, fried egg and charred lemon.
Katsu Sando Sandwich (PHP 288) – Panko crusted pork loin, Kewpie dressing, tonkatsu sauce, cbf mantou bun, apple and napa slaw.
Soothing Spritzer (PHP 128) – Bacardi Superior, calamansi, basil, cucumber and tonic water. Super refreshing! I was excited to drink it that I forgot to take a photo!
Treasure Island Cooler (PHP 228) – Bombay Sapphire, cilantro, passion fruit syrup and lemon.
King’s Cup (PHP 198) – Bombay Sapphire, mint, red grapes and lemon. Nothing like the game! It’s pretty decent!
Summerlicious (PHP 148) – Bacardi Gold, mango juice and peach syrup.
