Last May 14, 2019, San Miguel Pale Pilsen released two music videos in celebration of friendships that last through time, regardless of generation. The crowd was split into 2 groups. The first group was herded into a hall called “Side A” which had a dance floor that lit up, representing the 80’s era of disco dancing and flared pants! Meanwhile, the second group was brought to “Side B” which looked like someone’s recreation room from the 90’s, complete with Game Boys, jack stones, pick-up-stick and Just Dance with Kinect. I was part of “Side B” and we were asked to wear street style or hiphop!
San Miguel Pale Pilsen’s two new music videos were named “Side A” and “Side B” accordingly, representing the two generations who have different ways of partying but both enjoy the same Pale Pilsen across time. When played simultaneously side-by-side, the music videos show certain “secrets”:
-A basketball shot in “Side A” becomes a video game alley-oop in “Side B”.
-The Motown-style back-up singers in “Side A” are harmonized by electro-infused vocals in “Side B”.
-A classic disco dance move in “Side A” is complemented by a pop-and-lock move in “Side B”.
San Miguel’s latest music videos offer both the older and the younger generations something in common to bond over. Whether you’re a millenial or a baby boomer, Kahit Kailan, Walang Iwanan.
