Previously known as Galmegi, Fantastic Chef originally opened last August 2017 then re-branded last January 16, 2019 in Remedios Circle, Malate. Chef Jan Jungyun, Michelin awardee and one of Korea’s A-list chefs, made it her personal mission for Filipinos to experience Korean cuisine by serving authentic Korean foods–the Korean way.
In this intimate space, wedged between two other Korean restaurants plus two across the circle as their competitors, you can experience a bright and lively all-you-can-eat Korean style atmosphere for PHP 499 which comes with:
1. Skirt Meat
3. Jowls Meat
4. Seasoned Pork Neck
5. Pork Belly
6. Thin Pork Belly
8. Spicy Pork Bulgogi
9. Season Chicken BBQ
10. Spicy Chicken BBQ
If you want regular or seasoned beef, just add PHP 50. It’s also important to note that children below 3 feet are free. If your kid is slightly taller or chubbier than the other runts, then they get half off the regular price. And if there’s anything we learned from our visit, there is a PHP 200 penalty for leftovers.
Personally, what I like the most about this place is their stock of Korean alcohol:
-Korean beer – PHP 150
-So Ju – PHP 250
-Ja Mong So Ju – PHP 250
-Mak Geol Li – PHP 350
-Baek Se Ju – PHP 500
For dessert they also offer ice-cream snacks shipped from Korea: PHP 50 for regular and PHP 100 for large.
