Originally home to the world’s cheapest Michelin star meal Iconic Chan Hon Meng S$2 ($1.42 USD) Chicken Rice Dish, Hawker Chan blew up, became a hit in Singapore, and is now internationally known.
Officially opened on March 4, 2019, FOODEE Global Concepts celebrates the 3rd Hawker Chan in Manila located at Glorietta 3 on the Ground Floor. #HawkerChanPHG3Locally grown and contract manufactured, Hawker Chan in Manila maintains its quality and remains faithful to it’s affordable origins with the average price range per dish at only PHP 100 to PHP 150.
We tried their newest menu offering: the Roast Combination Platter (PHP 1,650):
-Soya Sauce Chicken
-Deep Fried Dumplings
-Braised Beans and Steamed Vegetable
The combination platter was both delicious and filling, enough for a group of four people (or more, depending on how much you can eat).
We quenched our thirst with their new Hong Kong-Style Milk Tea (PHP 88). It’s creamy and refreshing!
For a la carte, we had comforting, savoury Wonton Soup (PHP 150), and Thai Style Tofu (PHP 160), which is both crunchy and scrumptious!
With soy sauce and sesame oil, the Soya Bean Sprouts (PHP 89) is a great appetizer which can be paired with their Seasonal Vegetable (PHP 99).
A decent entree for two is their savoury Half Chicken (PHP 299). You can’t visit a Hawker Chan without trying their chicken! Pair the chicken with Fried Dumplings (PHP 100) and you’ve got yourself a great meal for an equally great deal.
If you’re undecided, try the Chef Combination Platters (PHP 250) of which you can make a meal for 4-5 persons with the following:
-Plain Rice (PHP 25)
-Rice with Sauce (PHP 30)
-Plain Noodle with Sambal (PHP 80)
-Plain Veg Noodle with Sambal (PHP 80)
Hawker Chan’s popularity continually grows every day due to their affordability, quality, and thus we are excited to see more of Hawker Chan in the Philippines.
