Last December 2018, I got my very first eyelash extension at
Ayumi Japanese Eyelash and Nail Art. Their 5D Japanese Lash Extension was great and they made me look like a diva, but they were a bit heavy and fell off sooner than expected. I was excited to try their new service when I heard that it felt lighter and looked more natural!
“Ange Curl” (PHP 3,500) is a new service launched by Ayumi PH. It’s a combination between a lash lift that curls the eyelashes, and a classic lash extension which adds volume using high quality sable mink Japanese lashes. I had to sit still for at least 2 hours but it was worth it! Compared to the 5D lashes, the classic lashes are super lightweight and realistic. It’s recommended to get a retouch every 10 days (PHP 500/session).
Ayumi’s glue is infused with a serum to keep the natural lashes intact, stronger and lifted, so it’s not true that your lashes come off because of lash extensions. In fact, frequently using fake lashes that you rip off at the end of the day poses a larger risk.
One of Ayumi’s bestsellers, the Tokyo Teeth Brightening (PHP 1,500/session) uses UV laser light on those pearly whites. They give you a dental kit so you can brush your teeth before and after the teeth whitening session. Each session is broken down into 2 iterations at 8 minutes each. Even though I’ve been drinking a lot of tea, coffee and wine lately, Ate asked if may mapuputi pa ba ngipin ko!
I haven’t tried Ayumi’s nail art yet, but I’m a fan of their Gel Nail Polish (PHP 400 Manicure, PHP 450 Pedicure) because it’s super affordable! Other nail salons I’ve been to charge twice the price for the same quality! I also liked how they were super efficient, like both hands took 10 minutes. The ates at Ayumi are super pro!
