The newest watering hole in Poblacion, Gayuma Bar Makati is a portal to a mystical island. Having been to Siquijor Island, which is known for witchdoctors and potions, Gayuma recreates the same abiance of magic and mystery with the floating candles, hanging fern, wooden charms, antique bowls and exotic tapestries.
Considered the leading authority in Tarot Card Reading in the Philippines, Rob Rubin channeled our energies into his tarot cards and helped us discover a little something more about ourselves, both things that we already knew deep inside but have yet to realize, as well as things that don’t currently make sense and have yet to be revealed.
A drink that makes you fall in love with itself, the Gayuma Signature Cocktail (PHP 150) is a well-balanced house blend of vodka, grenadine and something like four seasons. Harvard, Mia and I easily finished three of these giant, smoking gauntlets. #traydor
Gayuma Bar Menu
As a venue for friends and workmates to unwind after work hours, Gayuma specializes in bar chow like sisig, onion rings, sausages, wings, pizza and crispy pata. Probably my favorite dish that evening, the Pampalakas ng Tuhod (PHP 120) is spaghetti made of aligue or crab fat and chorizo, topped with fried balut or day-old chick. The other dish that stood out was the Babycakes (PHP 100) or oystercakes. This tasty snack is made with glutinous rice flour, served with BBQ sauce.
