Filipino street food generally reminds me of my childhood, when I used to buy fish ball after school. The Tusok Tusok Sampler (PHP 185) is a great bar chow! I couldn’t stop myself from munching on the fish kikiam!
The Macho Nachos (PHP 390) is a glorious pile of cheesy tortilla chips, spiced picadillo, pico de gallo and sour cream!
A Mexican twist on the Filipino favorite, the Jalapeno Sisig (PHP 320) is prepared with cilantro lime dressing to give it a zesty kick! It’s pretty sinful, but goooood!
Based on an Ilocano dish, the Sinrabsab (PHP 280) consists of grilled liempo, roasted eggplants, green mango with bagoong.
A new dish that Bodega just launched, Sizzling Beef Pares is a modern pub twist on the beef pare stew.
A Mediterranean take on a Pinoy classic, the Greek Inasal Gyros (PHP 350) uses grilled chicken inasal served with tabbouleh salad and your choice of pita or rice.
A platter consisting of lechon bagnet, chicharon bulaklak and crispy pata, the Jogging Bukas (PHP 1000) is more than enough to send you running on treadmill the next day…unless you’re on keto diet!
This is something that we do at home, and I don’t know anyone else who does it. Apparently, Bodega has also figured out the magic of fried lumpia tikoy. Served with vanilla ice cream, the Kung Hey Fat Choi (PHP 165) is drizzled with langka caramel syrup and fashioned with homemade caramel “cotton candy”.
I know dessert typically comes after the meal, but this was the first thing I attacked! I was the first to dip a graham cracker into the torched marshmallows, digging around for gooey milk chocolate! I had to stop but I was Beggin’ for S’more (PHP 300)!
