Last Thursday February 22, 2018 we attended Axe’s newest campaign Project You at Bucky’s in Poblacion, launching its newest scent. Axe You is a carefully crafted blend of modern ingredients with notes of coriander leaves, black basil, and black pepper on top of a classic structure made of timeless perfumery scents deodorized my strong urban explorer smell for the rest of the evening.
Project You celebrates your own style, pushing you to elevate yourself by honing your skills. Its brand ambassadors are some of Philippines’ local talents: Chef Nicco Santos of Your Local and Hey Handsome, rapper Curtismith, street artist Jappy Agoncillo, and film director Gino Santos.
We went to see Chef Nicco Santos at work and got to taste his innovative gastronomic delights. Chef Nicco’s master class this coming March 17, Innovating Traditions will be about the different ways of modernizing traditional dishes, and giving it a unique twist. Afterwards, he will challenge his students to create an innovative dish of their own and the winner will have the honor to become Chef Nicco’s sous chef and be part of his team for the upcoming project Madrid Fusion.

Bucky’s is a small, cozy, restaurant owned by Miguel Vargas and Chef Justin Golangco. Designed by Miguel’s architect wife Raisa, this little industrial warm cafe serves specialty desserts and sandwiches, a testament to quality simple food.
