Kor-BBQ Restaurant Grill and Buffet has a selection of authentic Korean dishes of which are all-you-can-eat Samgyupsal served with vegetables, soups, and kimchi on the side. You can find this place on Almond Nut Street in Marikina City. If you’re a foodie who has an affinity for Korean cuisine, Kor-BBQ Restaurant Grill and Buffet is the perfect spot for enjoying a one-of-a-kind dining experience!
Kor-BBQ opened last December 5, 2017. It’s the 1st ever branch in the Philippines. Owned by Savvy Pascual, she entrusted the authentic taste to be directed by half Korean, half-Aussie head chef Kim Soo Hong. Kim’s original resto, Nam He Kitchen, can be found in Australia and he takes pride in his cooking as his family business revolves around his home-cooked family recipe to serve holistic Korean cuisine.
Their Buffet with Grill costs PHP 399 and is great for lunch and dinner from Monday to Thursday. PHP 499 lunch and dinner from Friday to Sunday, including holidays. The buffet includes:
-Kimchi Fried Rice
Aside from the buffet, we got to try their crazy a-la-carte:
Budae-jjigae or “Army Base” (PHP 449) is made with made with ham, sausage, baked beans, and kimchi. It’s spicy, chewy, and savory.
Buldak or “Fire Chicken” (PHP 499) is heavily spiced super-spicy chicken! The Korean word bul means fire, and dak means chicken, hence the name. This dish is a popular Korean street food and is one of my favorite dishes from Kor-BBQ.
Pusan Roll (PHP 449) consists of fresh sushi, melted cheese, and house blend Korean sauce. These rolls are meant for people with big mouths for their size! Totally worth it.
Namhae Roll (PHP 349) is based on Korea’s 5th largest island, Namhae Island, which is known for its fresh seafood and beautiful landscape. As such, this dish is also a sight to behold.
Triple Cheese Roll (PHP 325) is a sushi dish for lovers of cheese! It’s made with cheddar, mozzarella, and Monterey Jack.
