Looking to spend Valentine’s day at Shangri-la? Head over to 26 St. Bistro by The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at the 5th level of the east wing for quick coffee or a cup of tea to brush off that lethargic feel after your big romantic meal. You and your S.O. can get real close and cozy at the chain cafe’s Shang branch al fresco seating, and bond over desserts and drinks.
26th St. Bistro is The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf bistro concept that serves comfort food, coffee, and tea selections. First opened in 2012, the brand offers both a cafe experience and distinctive daily dining.
After munching our way through five places where couples can dine intimately this Valentine’s, CBTL was our last stop and at this point we were already quite full. Hence, we opted for light salad dishes paired with our preferred beverages:
Shrimp and Pomelo (PHP 395) is made with Romaine lettuce, cilantro and mint leaves tossed in coconut lime dressing. Topped with poached shrimp, pomelo, roasted peanuts and dessicated coconut.
California Cobb (PHP 375) is made with romaine lettuce tossed in their homemade ranch dressing topped with grilled chicken breast, eggs, corn, tomatoes, mozzarella and avocado or mango slices.
Raina ordered the African Sunrise Latte (Small PHP 145), one of the most underrated drinks at CBTL!
Part of CBTL’s secret menu, the Matcha Green Tea Macchiato (Small PHP 150) packs a punch with double the caffeine from coffee and tea. I was parkouring around Metro Manila’s urban landscape after this off-the-record CBTL drink!
26th St. Bistro by CBTL is the 6th stop at the #LoveAtTheShang food crawl.
