OPPA! Chicken is a Korean-themed restaurant which mainly serves a variety of fried chicken. It was launched originally in Cebu by No Limits Food Inc., and is now available in Shangri-La.
Chef Chanyang An, Oppa Chicken’s product development manager and a native of South Korea focuses first and foremost on flavors.
As crash course into Korean style chicken, we got served the 4-in-1 Platter (PHP 700), which consisted of the following flavors:
The Original Salt and Pepper Chicken is juicy and flavorful.
The Snowing Cheese Chicken is hands down my favorite: powdered with cheese sprinkling which gave a rich flavor all over.
The Yangnyum is a sweet and spicy blend of tangy sauce and mild spice.
The Ganjang is a chicken dish infused with sticky oriental soy garlic sauce.
We were also served the Chicken Fondue (PHP 950): glazed yangnyum and ganjang, bbq spare ribs, and cheesy fries paired with creamy cheese sauce dip.
Last, but not least, we had the Toppoki (PHP 240): a Korean street food favorite made of spicy stir-fried rice cakes, fish cake, sticky cheese, and topped with gobs.
OPPA! Chicken is the 3rd stop at the #LoveAtTheShang food crawl.
